How to get RetroFE to run automatically when starting windows
« on: February 10, 2018, 05:08:48 AM »
I'm running RetroFE in an arcade cabinet using windows 10 and would like it to run automatically.

I've copied the shortcut and put in shell:common startup (after editing it with the correct path).

It runs, but the windows toolbar is in front of it (I.e. no focus).  Since I don't want to use a mouse, how can I automate this?

This method of starting was working fine with another front end.

The problem is caused by another program (can even be a printer handler) launching after RetroFE. I may have a look later this weekend to see if I can find a solution, but there are some pages on this topic that I found via Google. You may want to search for windows 10 auto launch focus or something similar.

The issue was my old mouse!  It was causing connects/disconnects and messing with focus.

Got a new one!
