Changing Aeon Nox to 4:3 ratio?
« on: April 22, 2019, 03:33:05 PM »
I'm copying (some of) my collection over to a Pi with a 4:3 monitor. Does Aeon Nox have native 4:3 support (is there a change in the settings) or do I need to download a 4:3 version of the theme?

EDIT: I see it now. Deleting layout.xml and renaming layout 4x3.xml to layout.xml

I guess my next question is if my monitor doesn't support 1600x1200 resolution, will this FE scale everything down to 1280x1024 resolution, or do I need to give the XML file a good once over?

If you run a recent version you don’t even have to rename anymore. RetroFE will select the one that matches your monitor ratio based on the name. If you set the parameters to stretch in the settings.conf, RetroFE will scale the theme to your resolution as well.

Understood. I guess my next question should be whether or not RetroFE is working in Raspbian Stretch on the Pi 3B+. Has development stopped? What are the major issues with it?

It was working fine, but I simply lacked the time to work on it, and I found the supported emulation lacking for my needs.
