libpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile
« on: January 03, 2018, 10:42:34 PM »
Had this happen, was trying to figure out why MAME wasn't working. I got this error and RetroFE just would not respond, I ended up leaving it as I wanted to see the bug I was getting. I've had a few unresponsive moments since I reinstalled Linux ( I made a mistake trying to change the bootup images and couldn't get Linux back) and this error kind of confuses me. It ends the string with a Segmentation fault (core dumped).

This warning has to do with the updated png formatting (the image you are trying to display should be updated); it shouldn't cause a crash in itself.
Could you zip up your Main collection for me to have a look at?

I think I figured out what caused it. I completely forgot about updating my graphics card after the reinstall. I noticed it when I tried playing MAME games and they were all but unplayable. So that error is just unoptimized png files? I was figuring I screwed something up again :P

Thanks again for all of your help.
