The "HOME" environment variable will return a null value on Windows. Concatenating the "HOMEDRIVE" and "HOMEPATH" environment variables will return the home dir.

I'm pretty sure those genre wheels are included in the RocketLauncher base media pack which you can download from their site. If you already use RL you may already have them in your RocketLauncher/Media/Genre directory.

You can run all Wii and PS2 games on that? My reason for asking is I'm considering to grab an i3 7350K and pump it up to 5 GHz, and am hoping that's enough for PS2 and Wii using on-chip graphics.

I have the cpu OC'd to 4.3 or 4.6 I believe. Performance will depend on what if any upscaling you're doing and how optimized/demanding the individual games are.

i7 2600k with integrated graphics for me. I can run up to and including PS2/Wii. I can't emulate 3DS or Wii U due to the integrated Intel not supporting a new enough version of OpenGL although without a dedicated gpu it would probably run like crap anyway. But I'm not bothered by that atm, when I eventually snag a new gpu I'll look into it.

That being said, PS2 is pretty demanding in terms of cpu.

General Discussion & Help / Re: Problem - Systems with . in title
« on: December 27, 2016, 05:17:01 PM »
I can confirm this is an issue, but only with the meta info. Looking at the meta.db database the system names are trimmed at the first occurrence of the period. Microsoft Windows 3.x is stored as Microsoft Windows 3 and Tiger Game.com is stored as Tiger Game in the db so when it is queried for the meta it doesn't match.

I didn't see your response until I logged in just now to report, but I got it to generate the project properly by adding the correct path to the list of PATHS on line 11. That seems to have worked.

Update: VS project files were generated correctly and was able to build it in VS w/o any errors but the exe will not run. No errors when attempting to run RFE via cmd line. Also tried creating a new collection and that did nothing as well.

I'll have to confirm later but I believe the error was that gstreamer_gstappsink_INCLUDE_DIR was set to notfound or something along those lines.

I tried doing a windows build last night and ran into a cmake error when generating the VS project. I'm gonna give it another go to make sure I didn't do anything dumb last night (it was late). I've compiled it in the past w/o issue so not sure if I just messed something up this time or if something has changed.

I think what you need to do is have it here: retrofe\layouts\RetroSpin\collections\Microsoft MS-DOS\system_artwork\Character.png

I've been using RetroFE as my primary front end for about a year or so now and just wanted to say hi and applaud phulshof and the theme creators for doing a great job. I've just been lurking on the old forum (and this one) until now and figured I should finally post ;D
