General Discussion & Help / Setup RetroFE with Retropie X86
« on: September 02, 2017, 08:15:41 PM »
So, I've been gone for a while and I was messing around with Raspberry Pi3 and Attractmode. I still don't like attractmode. ;D
I got my hands on a tiny X86 Machine and installed Linux mint 18. (ubuntu is too heavy for this thing)
I got things working by installing Retropie X86. Can anyone show me how to setup the libretro cores to work with RetroFE?

Or if there is an easier way to setup retroarch and RetroFE on linux, let me know.

General Discussion & Help / Raspberry Pi 3 image

Is there an image of RetroPie with RetroFE? I tried attractmode and it just didn't feel right.

Or do I just compile a copy in Raspbian and install RetroArch?

Is there an app that can edit the XML lists and attributes? I can never save them back in the correct way.

Help / Custom XML lists
« on: December 29, 2016, 12:53:06 AM »
I was wondering how data is pulled from XMLs. I was thinking of implementing custom images based on XML keywords.
For example instead of "genre" I was thinking of using a keyword like "decade" and based on that, do a reloadableimage thats "80s", "90s", etc.
The question is, how do I create an XML that would do that?

Off Topic / Genre Wheels
« on: December 28, 2016, 05:38:54 AM »
I've looked through all of Hyperspin, Attractmode, and Emumovies trying to find clean versions(transparent background) genre wheel art.
I cannot for the life of me find it. Ideally I would like the wheels shown here at 2:00.

All I've been able to find is these wheels

General Discussion & Help / "TREE" Theme idea
« on: December 24, 2016, 09:08:44 PM »
I set up retroFE on my father in laws laptop. He absolutely loves it. Thing is he only cares for some arcade games and some specific genres of games. This led to me having the idea of having a theme with multiple submenus.
Or I do not know if this could be achieved through custom lists maybe.

An example would be: Main Menu->Nintendo->NES->Shooter->1943
