Release 0.8.3 available:
- Added reloadableMedia and reloadableText type firstLetter to allow images/text displayed based on the first letter of a selected item.
- Fixed bug where <video> continued playing upon launch. Video needs to be turned off when a game is launched, and restarted when the game is complete.

It will be cool if RetroFE would detect automatically the first letter in the game name and if the layout have a xml entry for letters (like the set ikarikoitz used) will show the corresponding letter provided by the layout.
-<letter tag> in layout.xml
-<layout folder/common/letter/a.png;b.png......z.png

Wouldn't that be a good enough option ? It's like when the metadb is created, but this will affect only once each collection

It will be perfect if the full filename would have priority and if there is not a perfect match RetroFE to use the closest match .. for example:
Super Mario Bros (USA) (REV B).zip  ---   can't find match Super Mario Bros (USA) (REV B).png   ----- set to use --------> Super Mario Bros (USA).png

also ,as a layout maker, it would help a lot if RetroFE would choose the first word to match genre images .... instead of creating manually about 150 pngs I would need to make just a fraction of that

It takes pretty much and I m thinking on new people... those who don't know about setting arguments for launchers/edit paths and so on ...

RetroFE definitely needs some option to speed up the setting up of the collections

Well done well done. Like the details for each game. (activates when on idle?)
Looks impressive. The downside of this would be the box frame (I know because I ve encountered it many times, hard to fit different box ratios in the frame perfectly), also the blur most likely it is done by *hand* (png batch) which, unfortunately, will make things harder to set it up because RetroFE don't feature the blur effect option.
Great work man. Keep it up. Looking forward to your release.

Did the last finishing touches to the cabinet (or better said bartop.... whatever) so now I will have to figure out exactly how the layout will look. Hopefully by the end of this week I will have something to share here.

Question: I've currently included all the layouts in the full release: should I or should I keep it smaller, and let people simply download other layouts from the website?

1.basic release of RetroFE  (default layout included)
2.full release of RetroFE (all layouts included)
3.option for people to download layouts (like it is now)
