Well interestingly enough it just quit crashing on its own.  I tested today and I can have at least 1 controller on and it doesnt crash when RFE launches.  All good now for the time being.

Sweet thanks I dont see search feature on list with some type of on screen keyboard, would be nice.  I really like how hypersearch worked on my old hyperspin setup.  I sure you will come up with an awesome solution though...  ;)

That link was to the old RFE repo, not the current one. I believe Pieter thought you were asking about the format of the issue tracker so he used that as an example. He hasn't added his to-do list to the current RFE repo yet, which I believe is what you were asking.
Ha ha makes sense thanks!

Yeah I would just put it all on your own google drive and link to that for all downloads to save on website badwidth.  Its not like you have a huge amount of data.  Let google use their bandwidth and you save $$$ while keeping all the stuff if someone stops sharing

Is there a link to the bit bucket bugs so one can see if their issue or feature they want is listed?  Thanks for your work!

Emb used the same feature I'm planning on using. Have a look for yourself: https://bitbucket.org/teamretro/retrofe/issues?status=new&status=open

Version 1.1 Update:

Ran all images through pngquant and reduced entire layout size from ~200 megs to ~92 megs.  May help with loading on slower systems.
Added additional wheel menu indexes to support an additional submenu layer.
Removed blue pointer from main menu and system themes in favor of Retrofe Pointer
added Gun Games theme
fixed letter jumping cart and box images jumping

Will need Pieter to test and update downloads section but link above should work for the time being.

See post 1 for download location.

On my setup it is about 1 second between switching menu items on the main menu and i would say around .5 on a system theme.

Computer:
500gb SSD
i5 3rd Gen 3.4Ghz
8gb memory
Nvidia Quadro K2000 Video Card.
No virus scan.

Test disabling virus scan?  What are your specs? I will be posting an updated theme soon that features a few updates.  One of the updates is the images have been compressed to reduce size some.  For instance the Arcade classics theme is about 5 megs now is the updated one is 3.95megs instead.  Thanks for checking it out.

Then it should have all the game info because, well maybe the default xml is old in retrofe.  I will update it with your or a newer one and test.  Then record again.  Thanks much.

I've been distributing XML files separately, but it might be wise to include them in the next RetroFE release. Problem is that mine are based on HyperSpin 1.0 files, but they do contain the additional information used by RetroFE.
That is fine, I did not know that you added stuff to the xml.  I had several systems not showing any data at all for games like msdos for example.   So one day I started copying my hyperspin xml files over yours and deleted my meta.db.    as my theme only uses game data I did not think it was a big deal.  But as the larger community as a whole is moving away from manually generated databases it may be wise to hook into gamesdb or moby for that info at some point.

I assume the xmls are on the downloads page then?

thanks
is that all we need to change ?

I'm not sure the dashes show all available features, but it's certainly an improvement. :) For the Sega Genesis presentation of the Aeon Nox theme, it may be good to use the following meta XML file.
Sure thing.  I thought that stuff came from the info.conf.  hence the dashes as I wasnt going to look up all the systems.  I put in all my hyperspin xml files and deleted the metadata.db.  are you saying nox should pull that from metadata.db?

I will record nox again btw thats no biggie

The game information is pulled from meta.db; the collection information is pulled from info.conf (or settings.conf).
