General Discussion & Help / Windows 7 can't launch a batch file

If I create a batch file to launch c:\windows\notepad.exe and throw the batch file in c:\retrofe\collections\main\roms\batchfile.bat
Then Launch the batchfile menu item retrofe indicates in the logs it found the .bat file and it goes to run it but it doesnt actually run it.  Notepad.exe never appears.  Seems like this worked before.  tested on latest download.  If i copy my retrofe folder to my windows 10 computer and do the same thing notepad launches fine.

not sure what I may have blocking it or if it is a bug.  Maybe someone can help.  Thanks in advance

When I connect a xbox 360 wireless controller and start rfe it crashes.

Of i connect it after starting rfe it doesnt crash.

dosbox:

I setup a new doxbox.conf in my launchers folder:

executable = "/usr/bin/dosbox"
arguments = -conf "%ITEM_path%/dosbox.conf" -noconsole -exit


Dosbox does run.  When I select a one of my games I added i get:

[2017-01-15 11:47:38] [ERROR] [Launcher] Failed to find launcher executable (launcher: dosbox.conf executable: )
[2017-01-15 11:47:42] [ERROR] [Launcher] Failed to find launcher executable (launcher: dosbox.conf executable: )
[2017-01-15 11:47:44] [ERROR] [Launcher] Failed to find launcher executable (launcher: dosbox.conf executable: )
[2017-01-15 11:47:45] [ERROR] [Launcher] Failed to find launcher executable (launcher: dosbox.conf executable: )
[2017-01-15 11:47:46] [ERROR] [Launcher] Failed to find launcher executable (launcher: dosbox.conf executable: )

ANy help would be appreciated.

Help / Possible Layout/theme

I want the following in my setup

Main menu reloadable Images per system on menu:
Character.png - character for system
background.png - background image for system
border.png - border for video
console.png - image of console
video.mp4 - intro video for system

Collection static images per rom:
Character.png - character for system
background.png - background image
border.png - border for video
console.png - picture of console with controller

Collection reloadable images per rom:

Box based on rom name.png
cart based on rom name.png
video based on rom name.mp4

Looks doable based on your documentation.  is that possible?  Before I started sinking some time into this I figured I would ask.  Thanks.
