General Discussion & Help / Re: BigPEmu Launcher
« on: February 01, 2023, 07:34:24 PM »
Thanks for your reply phulshoff. Pipmick from the CoinOPS discord suggested this and it work:

executable = emulators\BigPEmu\BigPEmu.exe
arguments = "%ITEM_FILEPATH%"

Only other thing I would share is if you want to be able to exit the emulator using a controller, add -devmode to the end of the arguments line. This adds an exit option to the bindings section of the emulator menu which allows you to assign keys to exit the emulator.

Thanks for your help on this Pipmick!

General Discussion & Help / BigPEmu Launcher
« on: February 01, 2023, 06:41:52 PM »
Does anyone here know how the launcher should be set up for the new Atari Jaguar emulator BigPEmu? I have tried this but it only launches the actual emulator, not a game directly:

executable = emulators\BigPEmu\BigPEmu.exe
arguments = -batch "%ITEM_FILEPATH%"

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

By the way, if you haven't tried this emulator and you like Atari Jaguar, you should check it out. It runs very well and much better than the Virtual Jaguar core for RetroArch.

I haven’t experienced any crashes in the latest version of RetroFE using the core 1.4 folder.  :)

I would like to test the retrofe.exe posted on the 22nd. Which version of RetroFE should I test this with? 0.10.21 or 0.10.7?

Same here. Available to test when ready...

Hi Phulshof. I can put a small build together, but I'm not sure if that will help as I have only run into this issue with large builds that include a lot of systems. As I was building my retrofe build, the crashes didn't start happening until I had added a lot of different systems. Let me know if you would still like me to do this and I will, just not sure if a small build will crash or not.

Is version 0.10.7 still available for download? I don’t see that specific version listed on the download page.

General Discussion & Help / Re: RetroFE Crashing

I don't think so as it happens with all systems. This became an issue as I added many collections. I didn't notice this happening when I only had a few collections added, say less than 10. I have 36 now...

The crash happens consistently when I enter a game collection, say NES and scroll left or right through the games one at a time allowing the video to play for each game prior to moving to the next one. It takes a bit, but after moving through 50 or so games, RetroFE crashes. I experience this as I'm going through a collection for a system and pressing I on the keyboard to add certain games to favorites as well. Same issue, scrolling through games. But again, it only happens after I've gone through about 50 or so games. Sometimes, it happens immediately after RetroFE loads, but this is not as common.

General Discussion & Help / RetroFE Crashing
« on: October 02, 2021, 12:28:08 AM »
RetroFE has been crashing quite often lately while I search through systems or games to play. I have about 33 collections added. I am using the default theme and have made no modifications to RetroFE other than adding my collections. I will attach a copy of my latest log. Does anyone have an idea why this is happening or what I can do to fix this? Thanks in advance for your help.
