General Discussion & Help / Re: RetroFE video issues
« on: February 18, 2022, 08:14:17 PM »
The only time I experience crashing is when I set the number of monitors to 1 in the configs. I haven't tried running MKV and MP4 mixed yet, but I saw someone report that as an issue. I could certainly test the number of monitors issue for you if that is something you are looking into. I do not have C++ or Gstreamer experience but I can try to help otherwise if you need help.

Or should I be doing this with a compiled Autohotkey script? I think I just answered my own question.

General Discussion & Help / Focus issues
« on: January 19, 2022, 07:20:00 PM »
Is there a batch file or something that someone can share with me that ensures RetroFE has focus when launched? I see the distros from the various scenes use an exe to launch RetroFE instead of the standard shortcut. I'm guessing the exe fixes the focus issue and launches joytokey or other tools. I could just use one of those exes, but then I'd feel like I was stealing from someone else's work. Any help would be appreciated. Writing batch files is not one of my strong points.

That would be really nice to have the ellipsis for long file names. I can live without the word wrap. I can see how that might cause issues.

Apologies if it has been answered elsewhere but my searches haven't found any answers. Is there a way to use word wrap or maybe an ellipsis on long file names when displaying text in a wheel? I've been working on a jukebox theme for music and videos that will allow a person to drop their music or music videos in a folder and go without the need for extra media to be set up. It will allow a person to set up extra media like wheel logos, but it won't be necessary. The problem I'm running up against is when there are long file names in a text wheel, the text gets cut off. It would be ideal if there was a way to do a word wrap or at least have an ellipsis at the end where the file name is cut off.

Below are some examples of the word ellipsis. Instead of a long file name just cutting off, it ends with dot dot dot. I've seen other frontends use an ellipsis for this sort of thing and was wondering if it is possible to do and if anyone has an example of how to do it.
