Is this something you could add Pieter? If hiding is an issue maybe just move the mouse to (0, 0) or better yet (ScreenWidth, ScreenHeight). The mouse is visible when using bezels and while its not really an issue, my ocd says otherwise :P
-
Think this is already available?
hideMouse = yes in root settings.conf
-
It only hides the mouse in the frontend. Unless it's not working correctly on my end...
-
I would expect this to be a feature of the emulator to be honest. I can certainly look into moving the mouse before launching a game, but as soon as RetroFE launches the game it has no control over these things anymore.
-
Yes moving the mouse would be sufficient.
-
If this is going to be added, can it be made toggable per collection via the settings.conf for a collection?
I personally don't want the mouse hidden or moved as I have collections that use it so toggable would be ideal.
nomousy is also a viable option for those who want to hide the mouse fully.
-
Please keep the discussion civil.
If I am to add this, it will be a configurable option. I generally don't change the default behavior without making it configurable unless the original behavior was clearly incorrect. :)

Surely you can use a controller to navigate on RetroFe? You would not need a mouse to be displayed then, could just use the controller, indeed the keyboard for navigation?

This request has to do with the mouse pointer location when a game is launched. At that point, RetroFE has no control over whether and where the mouse pointer is shown.

Indeed, but what I was referring too, was actually hiding the mouse full stop in retrofe, and people use their joy pads or whatever they use. However, you always will have an uphill battle, as one person wants one thing, another person wants another, sadly as the saying goes, you can never please all of the people.

Hiding the mouse pointer in RetroFE is already supported, but this only works as long as RetroFE has control over the mouse. RetroFE stops being in control as soon as a game is launched; hence this feature request. :)
