Title: Easy Way to update from a previous retroFE version

Hi,

Am i right to assume we can change the .exe only if i want a smooth update from a previous version, or shall we add some other files ?
I understand the need to update the config file as well maybe since there are more functionalities included in updated versions.

Depends on which release you’re updating from, but it may be wise to update the core and the layouts directory as well. There’s also a recent MAME.xml included in the meta\hyperlists directory that may be of interest.

In addition, a few changes were made to the controls.conf file as well as the settings.conf file, so if things aren’t working as expected you may want to have a look in those as well.
